A money coach helps clients work through their money stories and habits and behaviours with money. They assist with creating cashflow plans, managing budgets, keeping client’s accountable, helping them to reduce debt and getting them on a path to growing their savings. Through coaching, you get to build a very personal and long-lasting relationship with someone who just gets you.

As a budget coach, I deal with more of the day-to-day money management and behaviours aspects of money. I do not sell or recommend any financial products. Financial advisors assist clients with personal insurances, retirement planning, estate planning and investment plans based on an individual’s circumstances. Yes! Although I would say before coming to me, block out half an hour of your calendar and just sit and think or write. Come up with 5 examples of times when you’ve been frustrated in the last few months. How many of these were money related? Start compiling a bit of a list of the little parts of your day-to-day money management that seem like they aren’t working as well as they could be. Then take a step back, and allow yourself to dream. Think about all those big things in life you’d love to be able to afford (for example, house, wedding, holidays, private schooling – whatever it is that comes to mind!)
